Can You Iron Silk?
Yes — but only with the correct temperature and technique. Silk is made of animal protein (fibroin) and is extremely sensitive to heat. One mistake can ruin the fabric in seconds.
Recommended Ironing Temperatures for Silk

| Dry ironing | 90℃–120℃ (Low setting) | Do not exceed 130℃, risk of fiber melting |
| Steam with iron | Distance >10 cm | Do not steam directly on the surface |

Note: Never use cotton or linen settings. Silk cannot tolerate high temperatures.
How to Iron Silk Properly
- Set your iron to “Silk” or 90–120℃.
- Iron silk while it's slightly damp or mist it lightly.
- Iron on the reverse side to preserve shine.
- Place a clean cotton cloth in between — no direct contact!
- Hang after ironing and allow to cool in the air.
